The Quick-Fix Total Body Workout

As both a parent and an athlete, I feel it's important to have good endurance. Keeping up with your kids can be challenging if you don't have the energy to do it, and it's pretty challenging to take on an obstacle course race without endurance. But endurance isn't just about improving your cardio - it's a total body effort. You need to train your whole body to keep up with the demands of the day, or race. This training can happen at-home and doesn't need to take a ton of time. Here's how you can do it:
With this workout, I found six exercises that can tackle the whole body and also keep your heart rate up throughout the whole workout. The six exercises are:
- Burpees
- Mountain climbers
- High knees
- Jumping jacks
- Butt kicks
- Squat 360s
Do each of these for 30 seconds each one after the other, for a three-minute total body workout. Also, if you feel like you're killing it with the three minutes and have energy to spare, just keep repeating the six exercises until you are out of energy or time.
