Balance Sweets With Sweat This Holiday Season
The holidays are in full swing, and we don’t know about you, but we are BUSY! With work, family, holiday shopping and taking a little time for yourself – there is not a moment left to spare. However, part of what keeps us sane during this hectic time of year filled with endless holiday gatherings is ensuring that we stick to our workout regimen, so we have at least a few minutes of “me time” each day.
If the holidays have you feeling the same way and travels have taken you away from your usual fitness routine, fret not! We’ve put together a holiday-themed workout that can be completed using just your bodyweight — no equipment required.
Complete three rounds of each exercise, with 15-30 seconds of rest in between each set.
- Plank while singing the chorus to your favorite holiday song (about 30-45 seconds)
- Do a pushup for every day of December (December 12 = 12 pushups)
- Lunge to and from the Christmas tree (60 seconds)
- Squat and lift like you are picking up ornaments to put on the Christmas tree (60 seconds)
