4 Sneaky Spring Trends Worth Trying

I'm not sure how it's happened, but any minute now will be the unofficial start to summer. You know, the season when you get to show off all of your hard work on the elliptical and you leave all those extra layers at home. But there's also this weird feeling when you first flaunt your formerly covered up flesh. For that reason, I've come up with four great spring trends worth trying to help you to ease into your warmer weather wardrobe.

  1. Leggings with skirts: Yup. That's a thing. In case you're not quite up to wearing leggings, there are some incredibly cute versions that come with skirts attached. And before you picture something long and awkward, they're just long enough to cover any awkward bits. And if you're not ready for short skirt weather, your legs can still look great – win/win.
  2. Crossbody bags: I'm no fan of the teeny tiny bags that have been showing up everywhere. They don't seem to have room for anything larger than a wallet, and they can look awkward or impractical. Crossbody bags are still very much on trend this season, and they can act as a more flattering way to add a bit of detail to your outfit. Bright corals, sea blue or green can be a super cute way to make things look fresh for the season.
  3.  Infinity Scarves: Who doesn't love a brightly colored infinity scarf? Wear with solids for a bright color fix near your face. Pair a soft floral printed scarf with a subtle geometric or tone-on-tone pattern jacket (when pairing patterns, try to at least go for the same color family to keep things more flattering) for a conversation piece worthy of a style statement.
  4. Break out your Bedazzler: Remember how popular studded everything was a few years back? This season go for a less obvious look. Embellished sweatshirts are worn unironically, but with a lot of detail. Try studding or adding crystals to one shoulder only for a very modern look.
