Why Everybody Can Use HVT
When it comes to designing exercise equipment at Bowflex, we have a few specific goals in mind:
We strive to improve upon traditional exercise equipment, like combing an elliptical and a stair-stepper into the Bowflex MAX, making walking even more effective with the TreadClimber, and creating one set of dumbbells that take the place of over a dozen with the Bowflex SelectTech.
- Solve Common Problems
Since the number one reason people give for failing to exercise is lack of time, we are constantly coming up with solutions including the 14-minute MAX workout.
- Give a Wide Range of Options
We realize that our customers have different fitness levels as well as different likes and dislikes, which is why we have such a wide range of exercise equipment to choose from.
- Create One Product that Challenges all Levels
We not only design our equipment to last, which maximizes your investment, we also strive to create one product that will work for the beginner up to the advanced exerciser. This not only allows more people in your family with different fitness levels to use it, but also ensures that you won’t ever “grow out” of it. It will continue to challenge you no matter where you are on your fitness journey. A great example of this is the new Bowflex HVT.
Creating one product that equally challenges both the beginner and advanced exerciser is in itself an extremely challenging proposition. Giving people on both ends of the exercise spectrum a great workout with just one piece of exercise equipment requires a unique blend of fitness technology and innovation, which is exactly what you will find in the Bowflex HVT.
How is it possible to deliver a workout with one piece of equipment that challenges such different fitness levels? It comes down to two things: The type of resistance and the control you have as the user.
The HVT uses both a fan as well as magnetic resistance, very similar to the resistance used in the Bowflex MAX. Fan resistance works for all fitness levels for one primary reason: The harder you push, the harder it pushes back. So it challenges you at your individual fitness level, which is so important. It also grows with you as well, because as you get stronger, it modifies your workout accordingly.
The intensity of the HVT workout is based on three criteria: The resistance along with how fast and how far you pull the cables. Once again, YOU are in control of all three. If you are just starting out, you will start with a lower resistance and move more slowly through each exercise. As your strength and fitness level increases, you will use more resistance and go faster and farther. This is why the HVT is truly for everyone.
We also realize that innovative products can often be both confusing as well as formidable upon first glance, which is why we will be with you every step of the way. We provide guidance on exactly what to do and how to do it correctly with the HVT. It comes with three pre-programmed workouts built right in, all with trainer-led videos found in the free downloadable HVT app.
