The Wedding Workout: Tone Your Arms, Chest and Back

Do you have a fitness goal you're looking to achieve before the big day? Looking to gain some confidence before walking down the aisle? Whether bride to be or party guest, this short workout will help you look and feel your best in that dress:

The Wedding Workout focuses on six upper-body moves that will tone the arms, chest and back. By combining SelectTech dumbbell exercises with bodyweight movements, you'll maximize the work through your core resulting in an equally great abdominal workout.

The six exercises in this workout are:

  1. Narrow row (right and left arms)
  2. Narrow row with extension (right and left arms)
  3. Push-up variation (wide to narrow alternation)
  4. Superman
  5. Chest fly
  6. “Super Move” (Lateral raise to biceps curl to shoulder press to overhead triceps extension to pullover)

All of the exercises except for the Superman move are done with dumbbells. If you want to, you can use a similarly weighted device in place of dumbbells, just don’t use anything that will cause you to lose your form. When you choose your weights, be sure to choose a weight that will make the last couple of reps of your exercises challenging, but also will allow you to keep proper form through each rep.

With plenty of options to make these exercises more or less challenging, this wedding-ready workout can be accomplished no matter your starting point. So grab some dumbbells, some bridesmaids and have yourself a Wedding Workout party!
