The Best Hip Flexor Stretch

Located in the front of our hips at the top of both legs, the hips flexors are extremely important muscles that help us walk, run, climb stairs, and more. You can feel them in action by placing a few fingers at the top of your thigh and lifting your knee up towards the ceiling.

Many people try to stretch these muscles while standing, but to really get a deep, targeted stretch you want to take a knee, as demonstrated in this video:

The hip flexors are a primary muscle group under attack by our increasingly sedentary lifestyles. It's pretty straightforward; The more we sit, the shorter and weaker they become, both of which create a whole host of biomechanical problems. Low back pain bad posture and a multitude of knee and hip issues are but a few of the issues that can result from tight and weakened hip flexors.

So take a couple of minutes and stretch your hip flexors - Your body will thank you for it!
